Outdoor Park Benches Recalled by Jo-Ann’s

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores have voluntarily recalled 4500 outdoor park benches sold in its stores. Jo-Ann’s for outdoor furniture? Hey, I do crafts in my spare time and I saw these at my local store. They were good-looking and incredibly cheap - plenty of folks bought them - but unfortunately they can become unstable and break, posing a fall hazard. Price was just too good to be true. These are the Best Value park benches with a green metal frame and wooden slats. The benches were made in China, measure 50-inches long by 22-inches wide by 30-inches high; and were sold at Jo-Ann stores nationwide from January 2008 through March 2008 for about $30. If you bought one of these park benches, stop using it immediately and return the outdoor furniture to the nearest Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft store for a full refund.
